FOLLOWING an initiative launched by the FINA Executive in co-operation with the "FINA Aquatics World Magazine", the FINA Family elected the Best Athletes of 2010 in all aquatic disciplines: Swimming (Men & Women), Water Polo (Men & Women), Diving (Men & Women), Synchronized Swimming and Open Water Swimming (Men & Women).

London 2012 Olympics

Aquatics Centre

Designed by award-winning architect Zaha Hadid, the Aquatics Centre acts as a gateway to Olympic Park and is situated on the banks of the River Lee. The complex will host Olympic Swimming, Diving, Water Polo, Synchronised Swimming, the swim leg of the Modern Pentathlon and Paralympic Swimming.

The main facility, which seats 17,500, houses a 50m competition pool, a 25m diving pool and a 50m warm-up training pool. Water Polo will be held next door in a temporary 5,000-seat venue.

2012 Olympics - LONDON
During the London 2012 Games the Aquatics Centre will be the venue for Swimming, Paralympic Swimming, Diving, Synchronised Swimming, Water Polo and the Aquatics discipline of the Modern Pentathlon.
It will have a 50m competition pool, a 25m competition diving pool, a 50m warm-up pool and a ‘dry’ warm-up area for divers. The Water Polo competition will be held next to it in a temporary 5,000-seat venue with competition and warm-up pools.
