Both TYR and Andy Potts (three-time Escape to Alcatraz champion, World Cup champion, and 2004 Olympic Triathlete) found it important to offer a wetsuit for an aspiring competitor. With that goal in mind, the TYR Hurricane Category 1 Wetsuit was made. The simplistic, streamline version of the Hurricane offers the benefit of maximized performance and no fear of extreme fatigue when you enter the water by incorporating some of the highlights of the Category 5 and Category 3.

TYR felt it crucial to work with a renowned triathlete who is internationally recognized for his pack-leading swim - Andy Potts. Using his detailed, methodical feedback along with our expertise in swimsuit development, we introduce our first triathlon wetsuit series - the Hurricane. Featuring three suit options that cater to any level of competition, athletes can get what will fit best in the water, meet their competition level, and fall within their budget.

Seeing as how a top-of-the-line, quality wetsuits are ~$600, TYR's new trio of wetsuits are, by and by, affordable. Not to mention Uber-cool!!!
